Cayucos 4th of July

Our beautiful Central Coast has so much to offer for events to ring in the 4th of July. One of my favorites takes place in gorgeous Cayucos. This quaint little beach town throws quite the 4th Celebration every year. It is a full day of festivities for the whole family, all ages.

The day begins with the Sand Sculpture Contest from 5am-8am. You will see a variety of sand artists on the beach near the Cayucos Pier creating their amazing sand art. There will be novices, professionals, and children taking part in the contest. Walk down the beach and enjoy these beautiful sculptures.

Make sure you get to Cayucos early to find a parking spot and your sitting spot on Ocean Ave. to enjoy the 4th of July parade that begins at 10 am. There will be community floats, participants in Red, White and Blue on foot and on horseback. Celebrate American independence with this big dose of small town charm.

Over at the Veterans Hall, the Lions will be cooking up a great BBQ from 11am-3pm and then from 1pm-4pm, the Lioness’ will host a Bingo. Look for the Beach Games that start at 1 pm on the South side of the pier. Enjoy fun all day in the sun and then fireworks under the stars at 9 pm where quite a pyrotechnic show will be shot off the pier. Find your spot on the beach to watch these fiery bursts of color in the night sky. Please leave your fireworks at home. Fires, fireworks or alcohol are not allowed on the beach.
