In Grover Beach, what folks must keep in mind when heading to Fin’s is that it’s a family restaurant with a seafood focus — It’s on the sand, folks, at the entrance to the beach at the bottom of Grand Ave. So, if you don’t like seafood or families, I would choose another restaurant! That said, they are great at what they do — and have excellent customer service — the staff is friendly, from the bartenders to the wait staff. The owner even stopped by to see if we were enjoying ourselves! The fish and chips are a classic … fresh and local and made to order.
I’ve also celebrated a family birthday with their lobster tail dinner – absolutely yum-o with the best lemon-spiked drawn butter and a nice accent of al dente fresh veggies, rice pilaf and bread. It was a plentiful portion and I had some to enjoy for lunch the next day. Don’t miss the live music on the patio under the palapa when the Summer Evenings start … and we applauded the addition of the full bar a year or two ago… they have everything from moderate to high-end offerings and local wines too! Stop by … dress code is casual, views are great and food is solid and consistent!
