The report measures how residents of 189 U.S. cities feel about their physical health, social ties, financial security, community and sense of purpose. With average temperatures hovering around 72 degrees it shouldn’t be a surprise — that allows our SLO residents to get out and hike, run half marathons, scale the Seven Sisters, roller blade, kite surf, kayak, SUP and allows us to do it during more of the calendar year than most other areas of the U.S.
We are also proud to call ourselves “givers” in many cases — with multitudes of non-profit and community outreach organisations with thousands of active members and volunteers. It’s in the DNA of our SLO residents to socialize while doing good works and giving back.
So pat yourself on the back if you have become a permanent resident of SLO County — and if you are still longing to become one let us know! We would love to have you join us here in the 7th happiest community in the U.S.!
