At the east end of the lobby is one of two amazing hotel bars featuring signature cocktails and local craft beers. The menu at the in-house restaurant “Blonde” boasts upscale contemporary beach fare. My office held our planning retreat at Blonde at the beginning of this year. The staff took excellent care of us regardless of the fact that we just wanted a few appetizers and cocktails. Items we thoroughly enjoyed were the ahi poke, hummus and bruschetta. The cocktails were top notch. I ordered one not on the menu, a sazerac and the bartender Andy made the best one I have had on the Central Coast yet.
If you take the elevator to the top, pass the fitness center, you’ll find yourself on the rooftop deck with stunning views of downtown Pismo, neighboring hills, the pier, the beach and the vast blue ocean. Have a seat at the rooftop bar a partake in libations or lounge on one of the many seating areas.
Lucky for me, a few weeks ago, I found myself again at the Inn at the Pier with my Rotary group where we got to try some items off of the catering menu. It was so delectable with a beautiful salad filled with cherry tomatoes, micro greens and so much more, moist tender lemon chicken breast, a veggie pasta dish that knocked our socks off, heirloom fingerling potatoes, and for dessert, chocolatey brownies, strawberry and peanut brownies and lemon bars. Our whole group left happy and satisfied. We will be talking about that meal for a while.
