Since it’s finally getting cold here on the Central Coast, there’s nothing better than a hot drink, and no one can beat Tribe Coffeehouse!
You’ll feel at home as soon as you walk through the door and are greeted by the wonderful staff. My coffee-drinking family will tell you that Tribe has some of the best coffee in the Five Cities, and we’ve tried them all! I’m not a coffee fan, but their other drinks–including matcha lattes, chai lattes, and tea sundowners–are delicious.
Once you order, you can find a seat on either side of the cafe–try to snag one of the couches! Tribe is a great place to just hang out; my fiance and I regularly stay and sip our drinks as we work on the New York Times crossword puzzle. If you ordered to go, they’ll call your name at the counter. Otherwise, they bring your drinks to your table in the cutest ceramic mugs.
The menu changes seasonally, so there’s always something new to try. The Zodiac lattes and hot teas are inspired by the twelve Zodiac signs and always reflect the current sign! It’s currently Capricorn season, and the latte is flavored with peanut butter, salted caramel, and a sprinkle of salt. A tip for my fellow coffee non-enjoyers: order the seasonal drinks as a chai instead to get the yummy flavors without the espresso!
