Join Downtown SLO on September 19th for the inaugural Paint the Plaza!
Local artists, schools, families, and businesses are invited to transform Mission Plaza into an open air art gallery with chalk artworks! Everyone is welcome, no matter if you’re an aspiring artist or a professional.
Local businesses and organizations will be sponsoring the larger artist squares, and community members are invited to purchase 3×3 squares to create their own masterpieces. Not artistically inclined? The event is free to attend and will include local vendors in addition to the art. Come by in the morning to see the beginnings of the art pieces, and stay and watch or come back in the afternoon to see them finished!
They’re also looking for volunteers to set up and assist with artist check-in, so check out the event page below if you’re interested in volunteering. Spots for both artists and volunteers are first come first served, so don’t wait to sign up!
