The World Dog Surfing Championships Exhibition Tour is coming to Pismo Beach! Six of the world’s best dog surfing teams will be catching waves just off the Pismo Pier. This is something you won’t want to miss, so make sure to go by the pier on May 2nd to see these talented pups.
Surfing starts at 10 am and goes until 2pm, and local dogs are welcomed to sign up too! The afternoon features competitive heats, a final showcase round, and a dog beach fashion contest. The event is free, making it a wonderful family outing, and after the event you’re already poised for a perfect beach day!
Local non-surfing (and leashed) dogs are invited to spectate as well, just keep in mind that dogs are not allowed on the Pismo Pier, per the City of Pismo Beach. Sign-up for local dogs is open now, so make sure to register early!
