Rosa’s is one of our “go-to” restaurants. For date night, for business lunches, for their fun and fabulous annual (JUNE) fundraiser, the “Martini Shakedown” — we are at Rosa’s once a month on average. They have always had a fantastic menu, constantly updated by chef Doug MacMillan. My favorites are the Arugula Salad, Pasta California, Spinach Manicotti, fresh seafood specials, lamb and of COURSE their award winning Bouillabaisse. OH! And you absolutely cannot miss their fresh bread. Truly, like a drug, this bread cannot be missed so cancel your carb-free diet on the evening you visit Rosa’s.
And ask for the martini menu — they usually highlight one from their shakedown competition that will include ingredients that you will never expect and taste delish — however my favorite is their Pomegranate Martini. Make a little extra time to enjoy their absolutely gorgeous bar — redesigned 3 or so years ago, it is like an upscale, urban martini bar in the hub of the restaurant. Outdoor seating is lovely around the fountain in any weather — as it is heated and protected from the elements. This is a must-try if visiting Pismo Beach for any length of time. And DON’T miss that bread.
Rosa’s Italian Restaurant, a Central Coast dining destination for 20 years, retains its reputation with award-winning recipes. A family owned and operated establishment, Rosa’s boasts fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Classical Italian dishes and highly acclaimed specialties, such as cioppino, have been written about in San Fransisco and Los Angeles newspapers. Executive chef, Douglas MacMillan, is always introducing new and exciting dishes – simple, fresh, and sometimes complex. An extensive wine list and full bar await your arrival.
