Those of us that have the awesome gift of living where most other people only get to visit on vacation know that we frequently take it for granted. Months can go by without a visit to the beach or stopping to really enjoy a sunset. But when we want to be a tourist in our own town one of our favorite places is the patio at Marisol at the Cliffs Resort.
Eleven years ago my hubby and I said our “I do’s” on the lawn in front of the restaurant and pool area. Since then the restaurant has evolved and while we always loved it, it now has a bit of South Beach Chic with a West Coast twang. There is a fantastic spacious outdoor seating area where you can have small plates or the full menu. Umbrellas, heaters and cozy-comfy outdoor couches give you plenty of reasons to stay outside. Not to mention the uninterrupted views from Port San Luis to Vandenberg to the South.

Sip a great selection of local wines and beers — or have a fun cocktail from the the extensive menu. Pair that with raw oysters or a nacho plate piled high with all of the fixin’s. Yummy local seafood dishes change with the seasons and all can be enjoyed while you watch whales or dolphins put on a show in the water right in front of you.
The food is delish! The view unbeatable. This is where we go when we want to stop and remind ourselves that hey — we live HERE!! Come join us!
