Central Coast Outdoors and Grassy Bar Oyster Company are partnering to offer tours that combine kayaking and oyster tasting!
The tours visit Grassy Bar Oyster Company’s farm in the middle of Morro Bay National Estuary by kayak. Central Coast Outdoors guides help you paddle out and explain how the oyster farm works and answer questions, all while you float above the farm!
Once you’re done with the kayak tour in beautiful Morro Bay, head back to the docks for an oyster shucking lesson and to learn even more about oyster farming. Each participant gets six oysters to shuck themselves and taste along with a variety of dipping sauces.
These tours are offered once a month, with only 16 kayakers per tour, so if you want to sign up you should do it soon! Dates are listed on their website, and tickets are available now. The whole thing takes about two and a half hours, with one and a half of those hours spent on the water.
