It’s that time of year again: the Mid-State Fair is back! Head over to the Paso Robles Fairgrounds July 15-26, 2026 for a day of fun!
If you haven’t been to the Mid-State Fair, you should definitely go this summer. Tickets are $15 at the gate for adults, and $10 for kids. If you love carnival rides (or have a kid who does!) wristbands for unlimited rides are $55 this year.

Not a carnival person? There are seemingly endless booths to shop at, or you can enjoy all of the exhibitions, including art, flower arranging, veggies, and much more. There’s truly something for everyone. There are multiple concerts every day, some are ticketed and some are free to all! A few of the headliners this year are Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, and Willie Nelson.
Support local kids and check out the Agricultural Relay on July 19th, or bid in the Junior Livestock Auction on July 25th. There are horse shows and rodeos just about every day, too!
And, of course, there are the food stands! Enjoy a huge selection of classic fair foods–cotton candy, funnel cakes, fried everything–as well as local favorites. This is one of my favorite parts of the fair, there are so many choices and it’s the perfect summer treat. Make sure to get an ice cold lemonade too to cool you off in the hot Paso summer!

The fair is only here for two weeks, so don’t miss it! If you’re visiting from out of town, it’s a great time to come see the Central Coast. And for us locals, it’s the summer tradition you don’t want to miss.
