Stop by their Monday night takeout buffet for a selection of seasonal dishes. Bring your own tupperware and fill it up with anything that catches your eye. I went recently and they had a huge variety, including rice, dumplings, noodles, mapo tofu, and much more. My husband and I filled up a bowl each plus another of noodles to share and both ended up with lunch the next day! Everything was absolutely delicious and just a bit spicy. Once you fill your tupperware, prices are donation based pay-what-you-can. They suggest $10 for a small bowl and $15 for a large one, and you type in the amount yourself so it’s truly self-serve.

Busy Monday? They also do take-out and dine-in on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! The menu is seasonal and focuses on noodles and dumplings. I’ve had their dumplings at multiple events and they are an absolute must try! Always full of flavor and perfectly steamed.
Farmer’s Market is also a great place to catch them! Find them at the corner of Broad and Higuera every week serving up handmade noodles, chili oil wontons, and $1 spicy peanuts.

For those who want to learn to cook Sichuan dishes at home, check out Sichuan Kitchen’s website to learn more about their hands-on classes. I’ve done two classes, dumplings and noodles, and they’re very fun and you leave with a delicious dinner plus the knowledge to recreate it at home.
Whether you’re stopping in for dinner, getting a Farmer’s Market snack, or learning a new recipe, Sichuan Kitchen will not disappoint!
